A True Story: The Pursuit of Happyness
Will Smith is truly a phenomenal actor. In his 2006 movie, The Pursuit of Happiness, Smith plays Chris Gardner, a poor man trying to raise a young boy. One day, Gardner walks past the stock brokerage, and immediately wants to become a stock broker. Gardner earns an internship at the brokerage, and has to work extremely hard to get the job.
Throughout the movie, there are several emotional scenes. For example, at one point, Gardner is sleeping in the bathroom of the subway with his son of five years. The Pursuit of Happiness was one of the better movies of 2006. Smith won Academy and Golden Globe awards for his excellent performance as Gardner. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, go rent it. It will be a well spent 117 minutes.
