British Humor for All: Hot Fuzz
![]()
You know, some movies may only be able to cater to a specific audience. However, Hot Fuzz is NOT one of those movies. Although the plot may be a bit strange, I can assure you that anyone ages 13 to 130 will enjoy Hot Fuzz. The movie is about a great cop who is one of the best in London, but gets transferred because he is doing TOO good of a job. He’s sent to some obscure town to become a sergeant, but he finds that there is no crime. Well, turns out there is crime, but it isn’t being reported, because the town officials want to have the title of safest town in the world.
The movie can be very serious at times. There is murder, gunfire, and more. However, there are also points in the movie that are very funny, even to the regular guy. My only gripe with it is that it tends to be a tad too long. The runtime is 121 minutes, but since it is mainly a comedy, the movie could have been shot in no more than 100 minutes. Overall though, Hot Fuzz is a movie that many will enjoy.
